Addi versus solids

Addison went to the Dr. Monday for her 4month checkup. All went well and Dr. Benton said she was a healthy little girl, although she is the size of a 9-10 month old! She weighed in at 18lb, 1oz and was 27 inches long(5 1/2 inches grown in 4 months!!!) I think this may be why she is ALWAYS wanting to eat(poor thing can't get enough food to that growing body of hers.) I was told that it was okay to start her on solid foods, but since we've been having so much rain I wasn't able to get to Publix until today. I actually tried mashing up some bananas for her yesterday and she HATED them! She took one lick and made herself throw-up :o( I of course thought this was going to be the start to a very awful attempt at trying to get her to eat something other than Mommy's milk. We gave her rice cereal tonight and other than her not really knowing how to swallow it properly just yet she seemed to like it...hooray!! I've got my fingers crossed that with time she will start to eat like a champ and will also hopefully like all of the other baby foods we will introduce to her. My little baby girl is already growing up so fast!(((tear drops)))

Addison's Baptism

After spending a few days in Orlando with Kimby and Bill, we took Addison to Hobe Sound to have her baptized at Saint Christopher's. It was such a beautiful day seeing her welcomed into God's arms and we have now come full circle from our wedding being held in the same Church where all three of our children have been baptized. After the ceremony Bill and Kimby had their marriage blessed by Father Hynes. I can't think of a better way to welcome Bill home after serving in Afghanistan for 7 months. There truly is beauty in everything God touches!

Easter 2009

This Easter was lonely without Jeff being around for the 2nd year in a row, but we spent time with my family, which made it all seem better! On Saturday my parents and I took the kids to an egg hunt at Trinity United Methodist(where Brooke goes to preschool and where I attend MOPS). There were over 10,000 eggs to be found and a ton of activities. The kids enjoyed every minute and I was happy to have my parents there to share the day with us. On Sunday the kids woke up to their baskets that the Easter Bunny left then and then we headed to my parents for brunch and another egg hunt. I was able to take some good pictures of the kids and finally got one of them with my parents. Dad wasn't too happy since he thinks he looks like a sickly old man after his battle over this past year, but I say the memory is BEAUTIFUL!! Next year the kids hope Daddy will be around to share the holiday with.
